Via this route you can fully enjoy the beautiful combination of forest, dunes and a few beautiful villages. This tour shows you how the forest changes to the North Holland dunes. A beautiful environment that is becoming greener and denser.  The landscape changes slowly and you enter the dune area. A route to relax.

This tour shows you how forest changes into beautifully rolling polders from where you arrive in Alkmaar. This is the tourist attraction of North Holland! The route starts through the beautiful forest area of Schoorldam and through the beautiful dune area. In Bergen aan Zee, the Sea Aquarium is a step away and look at the wonders under water. The landscape changes slowly and you enter the dune area. Continue through the polder to the beautiful old city of Alkmaar. Cycle along the beautiful courtyards and beautiful canals. Along the way you will pass several mills, in particular the “Pete's Mill”. The Piet family still lives here since 1884. You leave the city and cycle through the polder via the bulb fields to the North Holland Dune Reserve, the area is becoming greener and denser.

Cycle route "Schoorlse Duinen" offers a magnificent view over the North Sea, but also shows the differences between Schoorl, Bergen and Bergen aan Zee and leads through a vast landscape of Petten fields, dunes and forests. The moors, which can also be found in this area, are unique in combination with the dunes. Nowhere in the Netherlands are they wider or higher than here. With a little luck you will see a sand lizard scratching between the dunes, you can hear different birds chirping and you can enjoy 800 different kinds of mushrooms.

E-chopper route : Hondsbosche Zeewering/ polder route

Cruising on the E-Chopper is a true experience, you do this alone, with your partner, family or group of friends. The E-chopper is 100% electric, allowing you to enjoy nature.

You leave from Schoorl and ride through the beautiful polders to Petten. And get off here and enjoy the calming waves and enjoy the sea breeze at the beach.

Continue your tour over the Hondsbossche Zeewering ( the dike) that lies along the coastline. On one side you see the sea and on the other side you enjoy the polders. Wow what a view! If you have had enough of this spectacle follow the route to Camperduin and Groet and you drive back along the dunes.

 

Tip: Make a stop at the climbing dune and challenge yourself to get to the top! Also, you can make a stop at the watchtower. This is definitely worthwhile.

E-chopper route: Tour of Bergen

This route is specially created for the E-choppers.

In this beautiful nature reserve you can enjoy many water animals, bridges, locks and winding roads. With the environmentally friendly and silent E- chopper you can fully enjoy these free routes or go exploring by yourself This route starts in Schoorl. You will ride through Schoorl and along the Bergerbosch. Make a stop at the viewpoint 48 meters high and take a look over the treetops. Then you'll drive right into the beautiful village of Bergen. Plenty to see and even stop for a drink at a terrace. Continue through Bergen to Bergen aan Zee, get off to enjoy the beach and the rushing waves of the sea.  Continue the route back through the green polders to Bergen and back to Schoorl.

 

E-chopper route: Dutch view with idyllic villages

Cruising on the E-choppers is a true experience. You do this alone, with your partner, family or friends. The E-choppers are 100% electric, so you can enjoy nature silently. This route you start in Schoorl. Here you drive through the polder to Warmenhuizen, here you can still enjoy picking your own strawberries and Tuitjenhorn. You follow the route to Noord and Zuid Scharwoude. Here you will ride through the Realm of the Thousand Islands. Make a stop at the Broeker Veiling and discover how trading used to be done. Continue the route towards the Berverkoog business park. Here you can also make a stop at Hortus. Step inside and admire the 2ha with as many as 800 species of medicinal plants. Then follow the route through Sint Pancras to the beautiful nature reserve Geestmerambacht . take your time and sometimes make a stop to enjoy.  We have mapped out the route so passes delicious eating and drinking places.
