This tour shows you how forest turns into beautiful rolling polders to arrive in Alkmaar from there. This is the tourist attraction of North Holland! The route starts through the beautiful forest area of Schoorldam so through the beautiful dunes. In Bergen aan Zee is the Zeeaquarium step off and look at the wonders under water. The landscape changes slowly and you enter the dune area. Continue through the polder to the beautiful old town of Alkmaar. Cycle along the pretty courtyards and beautiful canals. On the way you will pass several windmills, especially "Molen van Piet". The Piet family has lived here since 1884. You will leave the city and cycle through the polder via the bulb fields to the Noord Hollands Duinreservaat, the area becomes greener and denser.

Bike route "Schoorl Dunes" offers a magnificent view of the North Sea, but also shows the differences between Schoorl, Bergen and Bergen aan Zee and leads through a vast landscape of Petten fields, dunes and forests.
