"Route Alkmaar" takes you to the heart of Alkmaar through the beautiful canals you can taste the atmosphere and enjoy the old buildings. You can even moor here and there to enjoy a snack and a drink. In this route is 1 transfer point, here you have to get out of the canoe and then you can get back into the water on the other side and continue the route. The starting point is at Canoe Maalwater, Maalwater 10 in Heiloo.

The route takes you through a beautiful landscape from Heiloo to Egmond aan de Hoef. At the end point, you can walk a bit and there you will find the Sancti Aldalbeti Brewery, (across the road, De Bisschop 1B. )

Here you can visit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ( from 16.00-19.00) for a tour and/or a tasting. You can walk in or make reservations in advance. Then get back in the canoe and sail the route back to the starting point.
